You're out of a can and some gas. Get over it and move on with your life.

The guy that used it was at fault, no matter what your former neighbor told him he could do. That guy is the one you need to go after. If he is still out there tell him to pay up for the gas. If I told you to steal a car and you did would that mean I'm at fault? No, because you didn't have to do what I said when you knew it was wrong.

You should worry more about your language skills. Stold? Atpt? and the police will not bother with your claim as it is very small. Also lock your stuff up if you live in an APT.

I would be surprised if the police had enough free time to get involved in such a petty squabble. You might consider taking your former neighbor to small claims court.

Next time learn to keep your stuff locked up so no one else can give it away. I'd say chalk it up to a lesson learned and get a new gas can.

The cops around here won't do anything about $10 of stolen property from your house.

The guy using it should just give it back. who is he, does he work for the apartment complex ?? If so, just go and talk to the apartment manager.

but you can call the police if you want.
