Thoughts and ideas can arguably be considered more permanent than physical objects. they cannot be destroyed. So in that sense, no. Ideas are not physical, but they can be considered the only things with true meaning.

no, because a story can contain meaning and yet a story can be intangible. It can be an idea that is passed on from person to person that has cultural or social meaning. Such as dont do something but you arent being told to not do something based on something which actually 'exist's, its not a physical thing.

Exist...where?there are so many different planes at so many different levels in so many different layers of consciousness or subconsciousness.To have meaning it may be at any one of those......which is quite different than actual existence....in the terms we generally refer to...

No, most of our most important concepts don't physically exist in the way I think you are referring. Emotions, relationships, faith, loyalty, etc. are very important and meaningful, but they can't actually be quantified.

no. billions of people devoutly and sincerely believe in different gods. these gods have great meaning for them, but they can't all be right. either just one religion is right or there are no gods at all.
