The world would be a much better place if more women would keep their legs open and their mouths shut.

I do not believe this. I am asking if one should reply and if so how?

Are you talking to someone or is this on Yahoo Answers? If it is on YA, I would simply skip it, since I don't believe YA works well with questions like this.

If you are talking to someone and you really want to continue the conversation, you could start by asking them what they mean by that, and what they think the consequences would be. If they know the meaning of the word consequences, you might be able to get into an interesting conversation.

If you don't want to associate with someone who would ask a question like that, you would just walk away.

If more women would keep their mouth shut will really make the world better. I guess this pertains to a nagging woman which really is annoying. Is there anyone who would be happy to be around with a ******? A nagging of a woman oftentimes is the cause of chaotic relationships which puts everything in trouble. On the other hand, woman should not just looked down as causing trouble, There are plenty of women who gives a very productive thoughts that can be taken out of what comes out of their mouths. A woman's mouth should be allowed to open for it could sometimes make a great contribution which can give difference to the world .
The other part of the statement that woman would keep their legs open is absolutely abusive on the part of females. Women are not supposed to be looked down as sex objects. A woman got too much thing to contribute for the world to be a much better place.
Such statement will not make the world a better place.

Its funny, I met a guy like that a church last night and he basically said the same thing... He also said if you see a women with two black eyes she obviously didnt listen the first time....

The comment is a testosterone one... the funny thing is most of the the women actually laughed at his comments and said nothing.... I just shut my mouth and honestly wanted to get up and leave... but I had to stay.

What I should have said.. hmm.... Obviously your desperate and dont get alot of female attention, you sould like a male slut, and maybe thats why you dont get any, as for keeping our mouths shut... LOL! I guess you heard them saying NO get lost! The world may be a better place for you if we did, but can you imagine the discust we would feel being with someone like you... So no, the world would not be a much better place because I would hate to se the wolrd with your sick tormented babies...

Sorry... you got me on a tangent *D* and its not that witty, but it does make my blood boil...

As Usual, The Choice Would Be Theirs To Reply Or Decline To Reply.. ... How They Reply Would Reflect How They Feel About The Statement...... Hmmm.... What Is It You REALLY Want To Know Mr. Richard? ..... Maybe Why People Range From Sublime To Profane? .... Just A Thought .... *offers lollypop*

I would apply an 'indifferent' approach.
The statement does not merit acknowledgement. Not even a twitch from the eyebrow.

Is it possible these words spewed from the mind of a female?
As you do not specify, a few answerers here have assumed male origin.

If someone says that then that male is very immature and has no respect for women. I do not see how any decent person could or would want to be in the presence of a male that would speak in that manner.

I think a non-verbal reply is best in this case.

This is "The Look". You can throw in some pity into your facial expression if you like, but I'm guessing that trying to convey subtle messages to such a being would be a waste of time.

Perhaps one should reply in the defense and honor of the woman! And meet at dawn for 10 paces and a duel to the death!

Personally, I would most likely just give a pointed look, sigh, and walk away.

In my opinion anyone who would say such a thing and actually mean it, does not have enough grey matter to make a response worthwhile or effective.

But that is me.

P.S. I know you don't believe it, Richard.

There would be a lot of children running around and men wouldn't get any mouth and lip service down there anymore...I bet whoever made that statement didn't think about that.

If you just want to be dignified about it and not create a scene - walk away and say nothing.

If you want to show displeasure with the statement and avoid a scene, shake your head as you turn away.

If you don't care about making a scene say "Too bad your mother believed that."
