I think it's 45 grams.
update: "According to the recently updated Dietary Reference Intake guidelines, the recommended daily consumption of protein for adult men and women is the following: Women aged 19-70 need to consume 46g of protein per day. Men aged 19-70 need to consume 56g of protein per day. The difference is due to the fact that, in general, men's bodies have more muscle mass than those of women."
The 1 gram per pound of bodyweight sounded high, to me. This statement might be a reason for their mistake:
"Other recommendations suggest 1g of protein per kilogram of bodyweight while some extreme sources suggest that higher intakes of 1-2 grams of protein per pound of bodyweight are desirable."

this depends on your activity level. most people should consume between .3-.6 grams of protein per pound of body weight-more activity equals higher am mounts. generally speaking, 2-4 servings per day of protein is perfect-keep in mind a serving of protein is about the size of a deck of playing cards. excess protein is usually stored as fat and also puts a lot of stress on your kidneys leading to a condition known as ketosis-this can lead to kidney failure/renal disease.

Every body needs protein; but how much? The amount of protein needed depends on how active a person is, and how much lean body mass the body has. (Lean body mass LBM is the body's weight minus the fat.) Lean body mass is the metabolically active part of the body; simply stated LBM does all the work of living.

It depends if you're trying to bulk up or not. If you want to gain muscle mass, it's good to start with 1gr. of protein by lbs. of body weight. If you weight 150 lbs. if would be 150gr. of protein.
