All sin basically boils down to this - disobedience to God.
Some people believe in seven "deadly" sins but the consequence of any sin is death - one is not worse than another. Looking at a women with lust in your heart is as bad as adultery. Hating your brother is as bad a murder.

Thankfully, there is no condemnation for those who have a relationship with Christ. God looks on us and sees His perfection instead of our sin.

At the Throne of Judgment, often called the Great White Throne, there will be but one charge, Blasphemy Against the Holy Spirit. If you have rejected Christ until after your death. That will be the only sin you will have to worry about defending yourself against.... Jim

"Every one that doeth sin doeth also lawlessness; and sin is lawlessness." (1John 3:4); "All unrighteousness is sin: and there is a sin not unto death." (1John 5:17). Living in disreard for God's law and in nonconformity with His standard of what is right results in sin....every single time. Avoid continuing in sin: maintain a close relationship with God by feeding on His word (1Pet.2:2). In this way you keep on abiding in Him and the Devil won't touch you.

Anything contray to God is sin. We were born with a sin nature, thus our need for a Savior. He stepped in and took the penalty for us.
