First of all I want to thank the Lord Jesus who I can boldly say is my helper in all aspects of my journey in this wicked world that we live in.
I smoked marijuana for 24yrs. along with the other addictions that most will not acknowledge( drinking, sex, gambling, the ways of the world). In those 24yrs, I remember saying numerous of times of how I want to stop, but I had to realize that I was just saying it. See I quit cold turkey, but it wasn't until I got tired in my heart and my heart wanted change. The lifestyle was not leading me anywhere but to a slow death. Death from my wife and kids, death from family members, death from my job and the list can go on. I found myself saying I want to quit, but my heart was far from it. But when my heart became tired of the way I was living, God stepped in, and my journey has been heaven bound since. I have so much that I can write. But my answer to you is that until it comes from your heart that you want to stop; you will keep on saying it and you will keep on smoking. I pray that you seek God for help, for he knows your heart, and if it is in your heart to stop; God will cast it away from you. I pray in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ. Amen

Don't worry about the sleep thing.
Get a big thick history book. Go to bed an hour later than usual and read it. You'll be out so fast you won't know what hit you. And you'll learn cool stuff too.
Better than the weed.

hmm, depends. For me it was Christ. I did not ask Jesus to heal me of my drug addictions, but He did anyway. He completely took away my desire for drugs to be pulsing through my veins (weed was the least of my concerns)
Could I have done that on my own? Don't know. But, I gave my life to Christ and 25 years of drug addiction, including cocaine, meth, x, hallucinogens, pot, alcohol, cigarettes, all left me.
I dropped 24 years of cigarette smoking in 24 hours. No side effects. It was a miracle. I just felt God say, lay it down and I did. Just walked away.
My husband had a similar experience. Had been smoking pot daily since his teens, including all the drugs I was in to. Laid it down and walked away.
total God thing.
hope this helps.
my point is to pray. you've tried on your own and you haven't had success. Now try praying about it. If you are sincere, you take your request to God.
PS those that are saying pot isn't addictive? whatever. you know that or you wouldn't be on here asking that question. Yes it is addictive, given that testimony I just gave, you could say I have enough experience to classify as knowing what I'm talking about when it comes to drug addiction.

Try a getting your bedroom cold. If your in a hot area...
Nice cup of warm chamomile tea or Sleep time tea. A good book and dim lighting. If you can't sleep after that try another cup of chamomile tea and a shot of vodka. If that doesn't knock you out then go to the doctor. Just stop buying the weed....Do a total change and make bedtime something different then before.

I used herbal teas to help me sleep when i quit smoking weed. It's not easy at all, but you'll feel better after awhile. Exercise is good too.

Just stop. Take a long walk before bed. Read books before falling asleep. Read books that really hold your interest. Before you know it, it is beddy-bye and you can sleep like a baby. If, however, you dwell upon the weed in your mind and you will never stop craving it. Put your mind elsewhere and you forget all about it. I like reading fantasy and science fiction, as they put you in another place and time and keep you thinking away from the norm. Good luck! Remember, they don't call it dope for nothing!
