If you are bitter because of something someone did to you try to get some closure by talking to them. It doesn't really matter what they say but it can help just to get somethings off your chest.

If your bitterness stems from a decision that you made time is usually the best answer. It may not be one that you want to hear but it has worked for me.

You never really get over it. Just slowly find other things to do and gradually stick in the back of your mind.

When the day comes when someone trys to attack you or rob you, grab that bitterness and release it once and for all by bashing the person who picked the WRONG DAY to mess with you! Afterwards, your bitterness will be gone for good.

I've been lied. Not by one person but two, at the same time. He misled and she played the part of someone who desparately wanted to befriend me. And they never really understand how I feel when the truth is known. They feel that they have faced more lies and betrayals that when compared to what they have done to me is nothing. They're such a pair!! He chooses to ignore and come up with all kinds of theories to prove he has never done anything wrong. And she insists that she has no other choice, she had to pretend to be someone she wasn't.
I've tried to get over it but I still can't. Time heals. And I read somewhere, love heals all wounds too. Forgiveness is the key to unhappiness, say the other. But I just don't know. I wish I can forget their existence.

time heals all wounds. if i had an unresolved issue in the past, eventually i made peace with it in time. i dont have a single thing that i'm still bitter about over a prolonged period of time.

i think thats very important for yourself. you have have been truly wronged, but to harbour such bitterness in your heart and mind can only serve to hurt yourself and nobody else. it is better to move on and be happy!

Yes
I prayed about it and that gave me the strength to move on and past the bitterness. Forgiveness was the key for me because you can forgive what the person did to you although you dont have to like what it is they did....

Prayer and time will help. Forgive and forget, if you can as life is too short to dwell on the past.
Good luck
