2 Corinthians 4:4 - "among whom the god of this system of things (Satan) has blinded the mind of the unbelievers, that the illumination of the glorious good news about the Christ, who is the image God, might not shine through."
God dishonoring teachings such as evolution, and others, are very effective tools Satan uses to keep people from the truth.

you're anthropomorphising things.
We design and create things. Therefore, everything MUST be designed and created.
If it's too complex for us to design and create, a superior being must be responsible.
WHY?
we have already discovered many of the "secrets" of the universe. OK, we don't understand everything but we're getting there. there's no reason to believe that we won't solve the ultimate problems - given time.
The concept of a "Creator" was a primitive development that comes from a time when men didn't understand much of anything. Every drop of rain came from the heavens. so, God must have opened the windows of heaven. Now we know, it's just water condensation - no mystery here. Same with many things. Take Darwin's Theory of Evolution. He came up with a theory. Many scientists tried to prove that it was true. Much of it has now indeed been proven beyond doubt. Some aspects, we still don't fully understand though but as the years go by, more of it becomes explicable. The reason the creationists won't accept it is: 1. It hasn't yet been fully provable and 2. they don't WANT it to be true. If it disagrees with their interpretation of the bible - it's wrong. As far as they are concerned, science exists solely to prove what they believe. If it "proves" anything else - it's wrong"
Talk about blinkered. Raving lunatics is more like!
They still hope to find that the earth is flat.

Religion is nonsense, you know that,i know that,we all know that.Religious wars and whats happening in the Middle east..E.G the Gaza strip,Jerusalem, one of the most holiest citys in the world are fighting like cat and dog over a stupid piece of land.
Religion to me is the creator of evil,it is an excuse for power crazy people to force their beliefs onto people.Like get you,"How can anybody not believe in God?"Errm, cause there aint one..and thats my belief
Ever remember the storys of sacrificed virgins?that the gods were speaking to them and if they didnt do it they would be in trouble.Well surprise surprise it was Thunder and Lightning. They had no technology to understand what it was.
Science is proven, the facts and evidence are there
God isnt proven, there is no evidence or facts...oh apart from a book and storys that have been elaborated and passed on through generation.
Oh p.s Lukman..Allah was a paedophile and so was his prophet mohammed.Forcing 9 year old girls to marry them...urgh.If you dont beleive me then have a look at this site,oh watch the stoning video and listen to the song. This was done by true followers of islam http://www.apostatesofislam.com/media/stoning.htm

I'm an atheist.
If you ask me where life came from, I have an answer. Since I do understand the theories of evolution and abiogenesis.
If you ask me where the universe came from, I'm not ashamed to admit that I have no answer. Maybe cosmology gives an answer and the only problem is that I'm too ignorant or stupid to understand cosmology. Maybe cosmology has no answer yet, maybe it will never provide an answer. No big deal. I'm not so worried about the origin of the universe.
If I really needed to be able to give an answer, it wouldn't help me to accept the explanation that "God created the universe". Since I would still owe you answers to the questions:
- How did God create the universe?
- Where did God come from?
- What's the evidence for all this?
It seems to me that believing in God would just make me more confused. If you think otherwise, fine. We don't have to think alike. Pluralism is beautiful.

Never heard of evolution and the big bang? That's what some people believe, not some mysical being creating everything out of thin air. As a Witch, I believe much of what science has had to say on the topic, all though maybe not in such a clinical manner.

People don't believe in God until someone tells them about it. Used to be we could say "Where does lightning come from, if not from a creator?"
Now we know the answer.

How very true. I find it hard to belive that the perfection of the universe is just a fluke without a higher being creating it. There seems to a natural balance in life - again this must be through God.
It does not make sense for life to exist and then just perish. Their can only be a continuation of your existance in heaven otherwise what was the point in living?

I find it much more likely that the scientists who teach evolution and other rational explanations which have evidence behind them are right than a bunch of hill farmers 6,000,000 years ago who thought the world was created by an omnipotent being who there is, as of now, no proof of.
Religion is, mostly, god of the gaps.

When you consider how powerful Satan is and that in the bible it states that he "is misleading the entire inhabited earth", it's easy to see why ppl don't believe in God. Satan uses things like science, which he warps, to fool us into thinking there is no God. Think about the "Big Bang" theory, evolution etc. All these things take away the title of creator from God and make us doubt his existence.
It could also be scientific ego. Scientists love to think they are the most powerful beings and that they know everything. A little dose of humility would help them see that science is actually the elaboration of God

Why is it so necessary to believe in god? Having faith in yourself and faith in life not good enough that you need to believe in what man has created, as a comfort blanket in times of need. Lets face it, no one has proved god's existence and if you're about to say various religious scriptures can prove his being then it fails to convince me even further. The bible, gita, koran etc are books written by men for men. And, it's man interpretation of how we should live that dictates what religion was and is today.

The Bible says it's inexcusable not to believe in God because the evidence is all around us. (ROMANS 1:20 & PSALM 14:1)
It takes more faith to believe in evolution which is THEORY with no actual proof than to believe in God.
God didn't create all the bad in the world, this world is temporarlily in Satan's hands- that's why we have all the wars etc, plus you can't blame God for what are clearly man's mistakes.
