Now.. of course what she said was hurtful... but truth be told... this is obviously a person who's not able to express themselves in a productive, intelligent manner and needs to resort to immature, childish, aweful, and negative comments in order to express herself.
The world is filled with people like that... Challenge yourself to be different from the crowd and very soon you'll be recognized as being your own person and definitely a leader not a follower.
It's always interesting to see how people react when you do the unexpected or opposite or the normal reaction. A good thing to do when someone tries to call you out like that is to say in a pleasant and kind tone... "Wow... I'm sorry you feel that way, but you'll be alright and so will I... because it's not that deep"
You handled yourself like a real young lady and you should be proud of yourself. Never allow someone to drag you down to their level.... because it's soooooooo ugly, and in the end you'll never succeed in life.
Your "friend" is not really a friend if she can't handle the fact that you have and are allowed to have different views, opinions and choices from hers. Your "so called" friend sounds like she has issues... Well, don't let her issues become yours.
