Yes, God has a purpose for everything because everything is God. Nothing exists outside of God. The purpose you are talking about is called Divine Order. It is a normal and natural outcome to all events.

The people who invented the idea of God were mostly people who wanted to believe the universe was an orderly place with understandable rules. So, it made sense to them to invent a God who had a purpose for everything.

With Him are the keys of the Unseen, the treasures that none knoweth but He. He knoweth whatever there is on the earth and in the sea. Not a leaf doth fall but with His knowledge: there is not a grain in the darkness (or depths) of the earth, nor anything fresh or dry (green or withered), but is (inscribed) in a Record clear (to those who can read).
It is He Who doth take your souls by night, and hath knowledge of all that ye have done by day; by day doth He raise you up again; that a term appointed be fulfilled; in the end unto Him will be your return; then will He show you the truth of all that ye did.

I think you should ask yourself: Do I Believe in God? If you can answer that with an instant yes, then you do know the answer but if your answer is not an instant yes, you should be praying to God asking Him to help you understand all of this. The only one way you can answer this is by having a personal relationship with God.

Yes, everything has a purpose... God is all knowing. And He is perfect, everything is for a reason, and only He knows the outcome... It just takes trust in God, trust Him to know that in the end, it will all fbe ok, we just have to fight our way through to the end. Be strong! and pray! Pray for everyone, hate no one. Only hate the sin, not the sinner! :)

Yes he has a plan for everyone, and every event in your life . He knows everything, and he doesn't make mistakes. Everything happens for a reason, whether we understand or not. I believe God never gives you more than you can handle.
I know this from experience.

Yes, on a macro level. I think much of what happens in our day to day lives is largely left up to us and our personal decisions, and of course it is interdependent upon the personal decisions of all others around us who impact our lives for better or worse. But the grand scheme of life, with all its trials and blessings, is most definitely driven by God's purpose.

God creatively designed every living creature on earth for a good reason.
Your life alone is a manifestation that God is using you to make people aware of His presence.
