Islamic calendar started when Prophet Muhammad made an immigration from Makkah to Medina. We call it Hijrah. Muslims follow the revolutions of moon and not the sun so our year is approx 10 days shorter than the lunar calander.
Ramzaan means the month of fasting and it is one of the 12 months in the Muslim calander. Muslim Fast during this month from dawn to the dusk and once the month of Ramzaan comes to an end we celebrate Eid...
Bodly once said in his newspaper artile that their are more prophecising Christians than Muslims but their are more Practising Muslims than Christians..If you live near any Muslim community you will witness that they come to Mosque five times a day and on friday they come to Mosques in large numbers which outnumber any Christian denomination or any other faith..
