Bookbags and walking shoes are their norm
They preach through sun, rain and storms
You will find no Christmas trees in their house
And if you celebrate they may try to kick you out,
They wait until marriage to engage in sex
And if you sneeze they will not say "God Bless"
They leave Watchtowers up under your door
Hoping that you will want to read more,
Sunday mornings they're at the Hall
Not sleeping in or at the mall
They anticipate a paradise
No mourning nor outcry but everlasting life,
If you can't tell by now who this is
It's the Jehovah Witnesses!
LOL...Sorry, they're the first ones I thought of to make a poem about...Should I do Catholics next?

Harsh words & violent blows
Hidden secrets nobody knows
Eyes are open, hands are fisted
Deep inside I'm warped & twisted
So many tricks & so many lies
Too many whens & too many whys
Nobody's special, nobody's gifted
I'm just me, warped & twisted
Sleeping awake & choking on a dream
Listening loudly to a silent scream
Call my mind, the number's unlisted
Lost in someone so warped & twisted
On my knees, alive but dead
Look at the invisible blood I've bled
I'm not gone, my mind has drifted
Don't expect much, I'm warped & twisted
Burnt out, wasted, empty, & hollow
Today's just yesterday's tomorrow
The sun died out, the ashes sifted
I'm still here, warped & twisted

My favorite poem, put it on my wedding invites
Sonnet 116
Let me not to the marriage of true minds
Admit impediments. Love is not love
Which alters when it alteration finds,
Or bends with the remover to remove:
O no! it is an ever-fixed mark
That looks on tempests and is never shaken;
It is the star to every wandering bark,
Whose worth's unknown, although his height be taken.
Love's not Time's fool, though rosy lips and cheeks
Within his bending sickle's compass come:
Love alters not with his brief hours and weeks,
But bears it out even to the edge of doom.
If this be error and upon me proved,
I never writ, nor no man ever loved.

Everything I touch, turns into dust
but seeing pretty face fill me with a lust.
Your body as an armour standing next to me
hold me worm and tender so anyone can see.
I would like to have you, love you, try not to fail you
but by the end of day i would still betray you.
Bluer than the ocean my eyes are everything but true
so you can¸t trust me never or love me as you do!

The falcon flies higher and higher in the deep blue sky.
The wind is neither warm or cold, asit blows softly from the east.
The sun is neither hot or cold, but is warm and soothing.
The grass is green, and the flowers blooming.
The sea is calm and blue, only the crash of the waves are heard.
The falcon begins its decent, it's prey is only waiting.
The wind becomes more stronger and stronger.
The sun reaches its height, and becomes warmer.
The grass dances as the wind blows.
And the flowers smile as the sun glows.
The waves rise bigger as the day grows old.
And the falcon flies back home.

A Hug Poem
It's wondrous what a hug can do.
A hug can cheer you when you're blue.
A hug can say, "I love You so"
Or, "I hate to see you go."
A hug is "Welcome back again,"
And "Great to see you! Where've you been?"
A hug can soothe a small child's pain,
And bring a rainbow after rain.
The hug, there's just no doubt about it---
We scarcely could survive without it!
A hug delights and warms and charms,
It must be why God Gave us arms.
Hugs are great for fathers and mothers,
Sweet for sisters, swell for brothers;
And chances are your favorite aunts
Love them more than potted plants.
Kittens crave them, puppies love them;
Heads of states are not above them.
A hug can break the language barrier,
And make travel so much merrier.
No need to fret about your store of 'em;
The more you give, the more there's more of 'em.
So stretch those arms without delay
And give someone a hug today!!!!

Bright star! would I were steadfast as thou art-
Not in lone splendour hung aloft the night,
And watching, with eternal lids apart,
Like nature's patient sleepless Eremite,
The moving waters at their priestlike task
Of pure ablution round earth's human shores,
Or gazing on the newsoft fallen mask
Of snow upon the mountains and the moors-
No- yet still steadfast, still unchangeable,
Pillow'd upon my fair love's ripening breast,
To feel forever in a sweet unrest,
Still, still to hear her tender-taken breath,
And so live ever-or else swoon to death.

Upon waking up
I hope you see
that you were remembered fondly
I dreampt of you all through the night
I woke with a smile
at dawn's first light
I can't wait to see you
and tell you how much
you've been missed
I can't wait to greet you
with a kiss
I wrote if for my boyfriends and left it on his phone one morning. He thought it was sweet.

give me a reason
i'd like to stay
but i fear i have
no other choice
i gave you my trust
too freely i suppose
you tested
and retested
never did i question
the origin of
your intentions
should never have
let you in
but you dominated
and belittled my necessity
now i desire
to walk away
too little power of will
i ask you to
control me once more
and force my heart
to believe each rotten
vile ideal you speak
control my mind
uncoil my timid frame
