They used to give him a glass of milk before he slept, but they stopped doing that since a month. Yet he still wets his bed. Now they put him in diapers again, but it feels weird to put a 4 year old in diapers. What can be done, and in case theres nothing to worry about, when does it normally stop? his sister stopped when she was 3.

Many children have accidents for years after diapers. The bad thing about putting him back in diapers is that they feel dry now even when they are actually wet. So he will not even notice when he has had an accident and learn to go to the bathroom.

Put night lights in the bathroom, hall and his bedroom, some small children are afraid of going out of their room and to the bathroom in the dark. He may actually wake up but is afraid to go alone.

I would say put a pad on the bed and leave him in boy pants with his P.J.'s (have fresh everything by the bed "in case"). Then when he has an accident walk him to the bathroom (for the habit of going.) Change him and back to bed he goes.

I would stop fluids no later than dinner and reduce liquids (if he is a big drinker )in the late afternoon. My son could drink a gallon and never had an accident, I truly believe he had a horse bladder. Some little guys have little bladders. Good Luck This too shall pass. Everything does.

Just a wonderful world of encouragement, I didn't stop wetting the bed until I was 13 so just think, only 9 more years to go, sorry.

Actually baby boys generally don't potty train completely as early as boys and boys in general have bladders that don't develop as soon a girls bladders do. So, that being said, it isn't unusual for boys to wet the bed until they are pre-teen or teens.

I wouldn't worry about it, just have him checked by the doctor to see if that is the reason for him wetting, see if it is an underdeveloped bladder and if it is all you can do is to take measures to protect his bedding. A plastic sheet under the regular sheet to protect his mattress and keep it from being ruined.

Don't scold him and make him feel bad about it. It isn't something he is doing deliberately because he wants to, he just doesn't have much control over it.

Just be very understanding with him.

Good luck.

all children are different,do not give drinks at least 2 hours before bed, make sure he goes to the bathroom before going to bed.it sometimes helps if you check in the middle of the night .he will get used to waking when it is time.putting him back in diapers will make him feel like a baby.that could have the wrong effect.give him time.good luck

With some kids it takes longer at night to brake them - have they tried stoping ALL drinks 1 hour before bed? and last thing he should do before going to bed is potty so he's bladder is empty.
