I broke up with a girl because she was heavy into drugs. I detest drugs and wouldn't be around anyone who uses them. But the fact that this guy is trying to better himself is a great step. After he is out of detox you should give him a call and hang out.
See how it goes, if he seems better than you should give him another chance but if he starts doing them again run far, far away

If you really love him, then you can be of help to him. He really cannot help himself right now because he is stock in this mess. But you can encourage him to stop and make sure he does the right thing. He will forever be grateful to you if he cares.

Drug addicts, current or ex, all tend to have the same qualities...they are untrustworthy, manipulative, and only out for themselves. I agree that it is a behavior problem also. Get out quick.

I suggest that you break up with him, you shouldn't do anything with a guy who does drugs. You should find a better guy.
