After 20 years of teaching.....and learning...some is literal and some guides and principles. But all is worthy of being used @ tim 3:16. Dig deep and find the treasures of life and guidelines...start by reverence and fearing God enough to know Him as a great and loyal Father and provider. As for breaking rules...I wish as Paul stated that I could give up the body and mind and fleshly struggle and be perfect..( Not yet has anyone been free of sin while alive in the flesh) All are sinners but fight the inclinations and rely the wisdom of God to help conquer the flesh. A much happier camper you'll be

I'd say 7. I don't pray or perform ceremonies as much as I feel I should. I owe Easter some big time loving for bringing me my wife. I try daily to apply the teachings of the Buddha to my life, but I don't always do it. Like when I ask messed up questions or tell people their faith is a death cult. That's really not something I should be doing. But, most times I have how I conduct myself on my mind. I'm just bored and don't get enough real intellectual stimulation. And it's so much fun to come here and be an @ss.

I'm a 10, but I'm also Pagan, so there aren't many rules (just the Rule of Three) and there are no holy texts so I don't hold anything as literal Truth.

How aboout 1/2.
Believes are just that BELIEFS neither right or wrong . Very personal opinions that guide your moral or immoral life . Most of humanity is terrified of the concept of nothing at all when we die . Therefore a life after death was created in our ancient past to give us hope that this worldly life is not all that there is .

You should have another category in there. The closest I can come to myself is 10, but no one ever follows all the rules all the time, because no one is or can be perfect. Maybe there should be a 5 for those of us who do our best, but are fallible human beings. (-:

9 I guess--maybe 9 1/2--I don't go for literal interpretations of the bible, but that doesn't go against my Church's teachings--10 maybe on faithfulness to doctrine, but devout is another question--I need to work on "keeping my head in the game" a little bit more.

8 I completely believe that the Bible is God's word, although I have had times of doubt when I thought man had embellished them. I try my best not to sin, but I am human and make mistakes constantly.
