There is nothing else you can do. And washing with Dawn dish soap is a myth. Trying the clairfying shamppo is ideal but you cannot wash with this product on a constant basis cause no only does it strip color but also all the natural oils and moisture left inthe hair shaft. If you colored it yourself at home keep in mind that box color DOES NOT lift color. This type of process can only be preformed at a salon. This is what you need.

ou have made it a level darker than you prefer and when you try to prematurely lighten it (by washing or stripping it), the color could pull to the root color. i.e. redish browns could pull more red, orange and even pink. Matte bornws will pull more towards ash and green colors. My suggestion so that you do not damage your hair is wait about a month and see what color you are dealing with. I do not use box colors only professional lines so of course I am not going to suggest you do it yourself.

But I guearentee if you go to the store and try to re-apply a color on top of freshly dark color it will not turn out the way the picture on the box will and then after 2 wrong color applications no stylist will want to strip your color.

There is no way to lighten your hair without treating it. Stop using detergent it will damage your hair. Clarifying shampoo only highlights the lightness you already have it does not change the darkness of your hair. Try some haircolor and keep it healthy its better than putting rough detergent on your head.

Occasionally, I find that my color is too dark and I just buy an over the counter hi-lite kit and put in a few hi-lights and it's just right and looks very natural. Maybe your stylist would be willing to do this for you. Godloveya!

a really straightforward way (great EASY0 is in case you position lemon and dillute it a touch with water in a pitcher and pour all of it over your hair. Then wait contained in the solar for about an hour, and then your hair will be a lot lighter. in case you dont like it too gentle, then basically stay out contained in the solar for a 1/2 an hour. you may also use this product referred to as solar-in, and it truly works great. or perhaps olive oil artwork too.

It will lighten in about a week. Wash it with shampoo that is clarifying, not for color treated hair. Good luck - I think we have all experienced this!

prell. its the shampoo in the green bottle. it will pull out some of the color. it really works. promise. maybe some lemon juice highlights? that will lighten it up... but this time of year you might not get enough sun to lighten it. what about some sun-in spray, its not really natural, but its not harsh on hair and you can blow-dry in some highlights

I'm afraid a trip to the salon is in order. I was told Head and Shoulders strips out colour but have yet to find out if that is true...?
