Why do we forget that His precepts were present long before Adam was created in Eden? He has not changed, He will never change, and His Word remains the same forever... So why do we change God's Word when it does not fit our lives?

Good question! I wish more of us followed His Word. Not to be a hypocrite, though. We all make mistakes. But changing God's Word to fit with our own ideas, when we don't agree with something, is not right.

I'm still absolutely amazed that otherwise rational and intelligent people believe in these silly old myths.

The bible is a poorly written very old set of disjointed writings made by different people over different times. Pieces of old tales were put together and cannonized. i.e. called the 'word of god' by men. Why the heck would anyone believe that such a creature as your christian god even exists. Your god thing really has a wicked sense of humor.

We are rebellious by nature and insistent on having everything our own way.
And some people just simply do not understand. There is alot of confusion out there about God and the Bible. I see it here on this forum.

Who are you talking to? I never personally "change" God's word. I'm a sinner and I fully understand my flaws. I only ask that God sees my heart, which I believe he does. I sin more than most Christians probably, but I feel closer to God than most, i'm sure. Aside from all my flaws, I maintain a oneness with the elements that only comes from a deeper sense of purpose.

it is sad when the WORD is twisted. and sadder some churches are doing the same, but GOD did warn us that would happen in the end times so we shouldn't be surprised. christians we need to stay in the WORD, it is our weapon against satan.

Some may have...I think we are all guilty of something. Some accuse others of changing God's word...as if they know they are wrong but they change it...I don't think anyone is guilty of that

Some of us keep the word in our hearts. Only a few try to change it. Keep the faith.

I have parts of it memorized what are you referring to?

Oh you mean the people who say that "no one but God can forgive sin" who don't even know The Lord's prayer?

Or do you mean the ones who believe everything in the Bible is literal except for John chapter 6?
