Many people do use the Internet to find a date due to the fact that they might not have the courage to ask a person out. Some people are too shy to ask someone on a date, therefore they prefer to talk with people on line and ask them through e-mails. Another reason why some people use the Internet to find a date is because perhaps they do not have time to go out and meet people. People who are extremely busy have a small amount of spare time to go out with friends and meet that special someone.

I believe it is true! Some people do it because they are nervous about asking someone in person. Who says the internet dating is perfect? Just be careful chatting on the phone or on the internet. I have done the phone thing and that relationship turned out to be a fluke. Be cautious

I have used the internet to date. I had some bad and some good dates. The problem I found with them is most men dont really say what they REALLY want. They read other male profiles and copy it. After awhile they start sounding all the same BLUH!
So, men, if you are reading this. Say EXACTLY what you want. Than we arent wasting each others time.

I still think most people meet members of the opposite sex in clubs and bars and take things from there - and I guess it's the same for those who prefer members of their own sex.
The internet is a valuable tool but there's always a horror story in the media about someone being matched to axe murderers, train spotters, matchbox label collectors or worse still, me! Oops, shouldn't have let that slip ;-)
I could also meet Friday evening ... pmsl!!

I know loads of people who use the internet - but I only know one who used it to find a date - so i would say no!

well that is a known fact, in that it helps those that cannot stand to the girl or boy as the case maybe to be able to express their feelings .The internet helps such people to also enjoy relatioships , but that it has is short comings as well so put that into consideration but think on a scale of 100% i will say that the advantages are more.

i dont kno about most people, but i have done it, and have nothing but fun, good experiences i could share about it.
i actually have horror stories about meeting people the old fashioned way (through friends, bars.. etc)
obvioulsy meeting people this day and age in anyway, you must be careful but personally, internet dating is a great way to meet people.
i met the love of my life almost a year ago online and we are so much in love and im so happy and i cant wait for our future together!

I don't but I believe some people do, I think it's a good resource for talking on-line but not dating.
