Is Islam the peace full Religion then, why do they advocate violence to have converts?

Having preconceived notions, lends itself to enslaving the mind by distorting ones personal reality. In essence we become distracted fom the basics, the fundamentals.

All of the Prophets have taught one Universal Fundamental, which is to "Treat your neighbor as you want yourself to be treated." That fundamental is written in the book within every Human. Everything should extend or expand from that fundamental only.

"Monkey See, Monkey Do," instead of blindly imitating other Humans whether they be Deist,Theist,Atheist, or Agnostic, Humans should THINK for themselves. They should weigh and filter the information they receive, taking the best, leaving the rest.

They should explore what they do not know. I know many have received emails with erroneous information on verses in the Qu'ran. How difficult is it, in the land that Ben Franklin Founded a Nationalized Library System; where books are available both in stores and online for someone to verify information? There is no excuse for such lazy thinking. Is it that easy to be comfortable with lazy thinking? Is it that comfortable to allow someone else to do the thinking?

Most Islamic sects are not violent and don't advocate violence. Islam is indeed a religion of peace. Just like some very extremist Christians really do believe that non-Christians should be forced at gun point to convert or die (usually cult members, but still do consider themselves Christian) there are extremist Muslims who use their religion as an excuse to harm others.
