If you like Khaki- I would wear that with a shirt that compliments the color of the pants. If you are a woman, a nice skirt that also compliments the shirt would be nice. I am only going to have to assume by that no jeans includes jean skirts as well.
Otherwise, if you aren't into the cowboy hat/boots thing, wear what you were originally going to wear. Your invite didn't say that attire was mandatory did it?

forget the hat and boots (they are optional right?) and wear something else. Pant suit, skirt, etc. It is a wedding after all.

Well, we belong to the legion and everyone here in town wears western wear as there everyday clothing. wear black pants of any kind and a nice snap or button long sleeve western shirt. That is all you need.

A Western skirt and top or a Western style dress. Usually suede, moleskin, denim, or broomstick skirts.
The men can be in a Western style suit with the hats and boots.

OPTIONAL, means that you don't have to wear that. But you could wear kakis or something instead. Or just skip that and dress like you normally would for a wedding.

go to a tack barn around you where they sell clothing and you'll see slacks you can wear or a western style skirt or dress. check it out .
