I prefer coffee from a good drip coffeemaker or a vacuum coffeemaker. Vacuum coffeemakers are hard to find these days but my mother used to make delicious coffee with one.

I like a mild "American roast" coffee instead of the stronger things that are so popular in Stabucks, et al, today. I like Dunkin' Donuts coffee or a good supermarket coffee, such as Folgers.

Turkish style brew. You put two teaspoons of ground coffee in a mug, pour boiling water into mug, mix and wait a minute for coffee grounds to settle to the bottom. The ground coffee will stay in the cup while you drink it, don't worry the grounds actually stick to the bottom, you just have to remember you have grounds on the bottom of your mug. This will put hair on your chest.

I use French press. I buy local roasted coffee, usually the day they roast it. The darker the better.
