The prayer cloth is for the purpose for someone that is not ble to come to church to be prayed for with the laying on of hands, or where The ministry can not at that particular time be where that sick person it at. I have seen prayer cloths work many times.

This was used by Paul because he was unable to lay hands on the sick in person. So he prayed over a small piece of cloth, anointed it with oil, and sent it to the person requesting healing.

But.. does heal today? No, I don't think so, not in large numbers anyway. And I don't think we need prayer cloths today either, our culture and situation is different.

There is no specific rule on using prayer cloths. Sorry. The Christian path is not as strict or as cut and dried as the rest.

I dont remember any mention of prayer cloths in the bible. I do know when someone is sick they are suppose to call on the elders of the church and the prayer of faith shall saved the sick. Didnt mention someone bringing them a prayer cloth, and the cloth shall save them. The elders should go to the person sick.

I was curious too when I read your question. Now we both know a little more. I realize now that as a catholic I've seen them used regularly in the service to wipe out the chalice after the sacrement of wine. The wine represents the blood of christ so it can't just be rinsed down the drain.

You don't need to wear, do or be any where special to pray. When Christ died on the cross He broke those traditional ways of praying and said that He is the Propiciation between you and God, He is the living sacrafice, so there's no need to do anything special to appease God when praying.
