but there is a question that is bugging me so much that I have to put this to our members of Yahoo answers, The question is how can the Islamic community help there people when they are killing there own? I mean this to me doesn't make any sense to me, If we are suppose to love each other and I am sure that the Quran doesn't preach hate... Why is that the things are not moving fast enough? Why is it that the Palastinians doesn't even have a home state. And finally why is it that the Palastinans allowing all of the other radical groups to do there talking for them? Isn't it there future that is in limbo here? When are the Islamic community going to realize that killing is not the answer and it will not surely get what you want. The outside world wants to help but you are making it tough for everyone to help...You want to killl off every avenue to your help and you don't you see that? Most of all here is something to think about did you know that you are killing off your own culture?

This true however everything you said up there you could replace the world Islam with Christianity, and it would still be true. For every Osama Bin Laden you have a Adolf Hitler. Christian countries and societies go to war just as much as Muslim. Countries do, in fact I be willing to say the majority of the wars on this planet have been waged by 'christian' nations (world wars, Vietnam, Korea, civil wars, etc) So I think it has much less to do with THE religion whether it christian or Islam or whatever, than it has to do with the persons acting devilish in the name of a religion based on their own interpretation/motives.

Unfortunately, you have a very valid point. The one fallacy is that the Islamic community is not "allowing" the radicals to speak for them. They are just victims of the "squeaky wheel gets the grease" syndrome. Islamics need to learn that not everyone is going to speak the truth about the Quran, just like not everyone speaks the truth about the Bible. And everyone must speak up so that the radicals no longer get the grease but rather their voice is heard also. My understanding of the Quran is that it speaks of peace, not war. It mandates that Islam is about peace and love, much like the bible. But just like the Bible it can be translated so many different ways, this is where the radicals get their warped beliefs. And where Christians much the same way get into arguments about so many different subjects. I will never forget visiting a local church and the preacher saying that the children should NOT participate in the moment of silence that was being intro'ed into our local schools for giving kids a moment to reflect on why we should not be invoking violence against gays. I'm sorry but I don't believe the bible ever said we should be violent towards non believers. Much the same way I have spoken and heard interviews with Islamics that say the Quran does not promote violence against non believers. Any time you get a group that are as dedicated to their religion as the radicals you have a problem. Whether that be Waco or Al-queda.

I am not a Muslim, but a few extremists can color the view of an entire segment. I don't think Islamic culture is in any real threat, and you are right the Qu'ran doesn't preach hate. Some of these fights are generations old. Look at Ireland and England, they have been fighting over the same things for centuries now. Sometimes people get involved in a fight and justified or not they simply don't know how to stop it. Palestine doesn't have a home state becasue Isreal doesn't want them to. Do you know we give billions in aid every year to Isreal, and they are a country that is already well off with out our assistance. Who can say what the future holds for any of us.

Within the Islamic community, there are many branches, just as there are in Christianity ... unfortunately, just as in Christianity, there are radicals, and extremeist ... this just happens to be a period of time where the world has all eyes so to speak on what is happening in one part of the world ... does every radical/extremeist take it to the lengths that some have been taking it, no, that is why they are called terrorists ... what they are doing has nothing to do with religion, and nothing to do with the culture of that country. Your question being asked is a good one, because you are looking for answers, however, with your question being asked, it shows that you have not looked into other cultures or religions, and are basing what you know, on what you have been told by your peers and the media. Good luck in your quest for an answer to this, have a good day.

The Quran actually DOES mandate violence against "infidels". Many Muslims argue that the term "jihad" refers to an "inner struggle" or sorts, and not a "holy war" against others. The problem with that view is that there are references in the Quran that equate a jihad with a militaristic offense against those who do not practice the Muslim faith. Examples:

"Kill them wherever you find them, and drive them out from whence they drove you out, and persecution is severer than slaughter, and do not fight with them at the Sacred Mosque until they fight with you in it, but if they do fight you, then slay them; such is the recompense of the unbelievers."

"The punishment of those who wage war against Allah and His apostle and strive to make mischief in the land is only this, that they should be murdered or crucified or their hands and their feet should be cut off on opposite sides or they should be imprisoned"

"Make firm those who believe. I will cast terror into the hearts of those who disbelieve. Therefore strike off their heads and strike off every fingertip of them."

There are countless examples of this type of language. Some will argue that the Biblical God also dealt harsh judgement for those who oppose Him. However, those judgements were a one-time historical event, meant to purge a particular evil from a society. Allah's command to his followers to slaughter infidels is ongoing. His followers are simply carrying out the orders of their god.

When people like Bush claim that Islam is a "religion of peace", he is either ignorant or just doesn't want to offend a voting bloc.

bring Justice to the table or let them get it their own way.

until then the War will always be on.

until Israel pulls out of the occupied territory and goes back to AT LEAST the 1967 boarders, the War and hate will Always be on.

sorry but that's REALITY. we cant even imagine how the Palestinian people are living under this illegal omilitary occupation.
it's really hard to imagine how much they suffer.

all i can do is pray for peace.

The quran is full of hate my dear, and you can not change these people's way of living or dying for that matter because the book preaches that.
