It really depends on how well I knew the ex or if I knew him. If it was a friend of mine you split up with I would say at least 6 months. If I didn't know him then I would ask you immediatly and see if you were ready to go out.

well it actually depends largely on the characters of both of the individuals involved and also the tecnique that the man or boy wants employ to ask the girl out.we would also consider the circumstances that brought about the end of the initial relationship , and these are but a few of the factors that we should look at , to this end there is no standard time that one can say is the right time for asking such girl out.

depends on the girl I guess. I've asked some out pretty quickly and was shot down. Another time a girl I knew got dumped and asked me out while she was still crying (rebound? of course!)

well you can be friends with her first then slowly move in on her you can take probably 5 months, enough time for her to recuperate, also you don't wanna seem eager to get her.
