I am planning on listing my car- a 2006 Lexus IS, it's practically a brand new car, although I am still financing it. Would there even be any buyers? What are the listing fees on ebay for autos? Is it $80 in total? Also- how do you ship a car to someone (if that person lives elsewhere)??? I need to sell this car.

I am looking to start the bid around $28k. Suggestions and how to go about selling?
I have sold alot of things on ebay, but never an auto and Im pretty sure it's a complicated task.

Thanks!

I forgot to include. Are bidders interested in "taking over payments"? Since my car is still financing, I would just like someone to be able to take over the payments or at least make what I owe to pay it off.

I've sold cars on ebay and through auto trader. Auto trader is a little easier IMO. Selling a car you don't have the title to is also going to complicate things, you will have to get the money from the seller, then give it to the bank to get the title. Problem is most people are not going to pay cash, and to get a loan they will need to show the title to the bank where they are getting the loan from. If you do decide to sell it this way explain upfront what is going to be involved and hopefully you will get a buyer who is familiar with the process.

What you need to do is go to eBay Motors completed auctions and do a search for the same car you are wanting to sell to see what the going price is, this will determine if yours is worth listing. Study these auctions, see what makes them good. (lots of pictures, details etc)
Also, look at how others are handling the shipping options. I think most buyers come and pick up the car.

Here's one, note: you must be logged in to view completed auctions.
