I had the same problem in my hall and couldnt work out where it was coming from. A friend told me to check the light bulb as the same thing had happened to her. Turns out it was the light bulb - I kid you not! I changed it and the smell went instantly. Worth a try!

Change and wash all of your sheets. When the bed is stripped, mix a spray bottle of bleach and water...fairly strong on the bleach...a little more than half. Spray the bed down with it being careful not to bleach out anything that you don't want to have white spots. If your bed is positioned in a place where it can receive direct sunlight, this will work much better, but it will still work without. Take all of your pillows outside and place them in the sun. Spray them down with bleach until they are evenly soaked. Leave them in the sun until they're dry. Flip them over and do the same thing. Have your carpets professionally cleaned and dust all of your furniture on the tops, fronts and sides. Search for any additional clothing that could be contributing to the problem stuffed under the bed or even in your closet. Wash everything. That should do the trick. That bleach water trick is your best bet. Just be careful not to bleach your curtains or carpet.

Ban females from your room for a while and see if the odour goes away naturally, then enforce a bathing and showering routine.
Adam and Eve were playing in the Garden of Eden, Adam pushed Eve into a stream, suddenly a voice thunders from the skies:
:Damn it, now I will never get the smell out of the fish.:

Well, of course you need to locate the source! I would start by putting bleach in all the drains. Is this the primary bath? Is it used everyday or as a guest bath.Put some bleach in the toilet tank.It is probably MOLD causing your smell.Check to see if there are any female products in the trash can too, that someone did not throw away.

Lemon removes those kinds of odors from your hands....
So maybe a strong lemon scented candle....burnt for a long while.
Here are some options....old virginia candles are my favorite.

Also....odors like to live in fabrics of all kinds...so if you have carpets....a good steam cleaning will definitely help....and at that time also clean all the other linens in the room.
Hope you get rid of that awful smell!!
