lee, it doesn't matter what I think on this issue. We are in Iraq now, and that is a fact.

I would be more comfortable if our troops could come home and guard our own sovereign country. The Islamic jihad, as old as it is, will go on far after our short lives on the earth are over. No Clinton, no Bush nor any other administration can stop it. Defense will be at our own borders, I can't see how fighting in the streets of Iraq with suicide bombers can protect the US.? Islamic terrorists are organized and have better armament and communications than in any other religious crusade in history. Perhaps the new oil discoveries in the Gulf of Mexico will turn the tide of this egregious war.

I know where you're coming from, but there are many people who are ignorant when it comes to this issue. They seem to have forgotten what happened five years ago, and don't realize that as long as we're taking the fight into the extremist's backyard, it's a lot harder for the terrorists to pull off another attack here at home. I think our government needs to stop being so afraid of offending the international community and take proactive measures. Instead of waiting for us to be bombed again, or worse, we need to go and eliminate them before they can come here and do their damage. Bill Clinton's administration had numerous chances to take out Bin Laden and were too chickensh!t to do it. Look what happened... The government needs to grow a pair, and stop worrying about what the rest of the world thinks.

We do NOT have to be in the Middle East. It is a VERY unstable area and Iraq has proved this. Yes we had a horrible attact on our soil, and it happened in WW II, but this is no reason to go in and take over a country and impose our process on their system. We need to get out and let them struggle through their issues. We don't even understand them!! We must get out and let them deal with their own battles.

Does your Father and Mother know you are playing with the Computer? Only a Child would think this way.
In America we have 22 million illegals that just walked into our Country, do you or does anyone know how many were in fact Terrorist? Our borders are not secure.
In America Bush was told the hi jackers were in this country, he was told they would use comm. aircraft to crash into our buildings, he was also told before Sept. 11th. that they were determined.
Why blame Clinton for what Bush did not do while in office?
Since you must be a child, you may not understand that in war a terrorist will not stand and fight, they do the dirty work behind our backs, just like Nam. Terrorist are cowards, they would not face our marines in a Fair fight, they would also not even face the average American in a fight. Just like Nam.
BTW, it was Oliver North who warned Senator Al Gore about Bin Laden when North was ask in Congress to testify in the Reagan Iran Contra scandal, that is fact.

No we do not have to be in the middle east and anyone that thinks that has no brain about them. We are no safer then we were then. those people took over the planes with box cutters and plastic knives.. c-mon now. If they can do that then how do we expect to be any safer? We created more terrorism by being in the middle east, and trying to shove our way of life on their people.

I would rather attack our enemies on their own land, so why are we in Iraq and not Afghanistan where bin Ladin is hiding, or in Saudi Arabia where his financing comes from?
