He's 14, you said it right there; you guys're still in school,don't worry 'bout it, keep in touch if either of you will let it IM him to say hi once in awhile.
it's prob'ly the fact that you're leaving; there's nothin' he can do about it, and it does hurt to know that you have to leave and he prob'ly won't see you anymore, so it's prob'ly his way of dealing with it and he's havin a hard time dealin with the fact that you're leaving and he's trying to get over it right here right now.
but it just doesn't magically happen that way: sprinlke a little peter pan pixie dust on it or wave a wand like harry potter and poof the problem or pain disappears, it's gonna take time and he'll prob'ly come around and call, IM, or e-mail you wherever you end up just keep in touch by IM or call and leave a message every once in awhile just to say hi how ya doin'
that's why in my opinion that's why he's actin this way.
It'll work out some way or another OK? you guys're way to young to worry 'bout this kinda stuff now.

You've answered your own question - he is only 14......don't expect too much from him, in fact don't expect much from boys in general till they're a good 10 years older than that.....its a long wait I know, but as my mother always said, you have to kiss a lot of frogs to find your prince.

he's 14 and maybe missed your e-mail or chat. he could be crying, somewhere, about you leaving the country. maybe he doesn't want to carry on a long distance pen pal. he may have just wanted to go out with you, and now you're going away. but i think you answeed your own question, he's 14...
