The best thing is to treat others as if they are your close family and friends. Imagine if everyone did that!
Creating terror in the world in the name of Allah (or Hashem or God or whatever name one chooses for our Creator) is blasphemy. These people think they're going to have a great afterlife because of all the violence they've created on earth. However, I firmly believe the opposite will happen. Anyone who uses God's name as a justification for terrorism is seriously disturbed. Fortunately, after I die, I know that I will never face these people in the place where I'll be residing for eternity.

As a Catholic, I can only tell you that the best thing for you to do is pray to God and God alone. You can always ask others like Mary, saints and even prophets for intercession on your behalf, but praying to is exclusive to God.
As for the rest of the question, it sounds as if you are frustrated with the situation of the world and you are right to be. However, having said this, I have to point out that you should not blame a religion for the actions of a few. Islam is really a religion of peace and while as a Catholic I do not agree with some of their beliefs, I respect it as a religion of God.
The violence is caused by a few bad apples, who are ignorant and stupid. It is sad that people commit these tragedies in the name of God, but blaming an entire religion on a few bad apples is wrong and something done out of ignorance and frustration.
As for your other frustrations, you can get involved by joining some good environmental groups out there and donating time and/or money. You can also get involved with local church groups that help out others in need. You can make a difference as one single entity, especially since you are so passionate about it.

God bless and good luck,

Personally I don't follow any faith or any religion. This is fine by me and I am quite happy with my choice.
HOWEVER: this doesn't mean you shouldn't either. You should sit down and seriously give the religions of the world a good lookover. Find one you are comfortable with and makes you feel "safe" and "happy". Its always your choice in the actions you do, not of those around you. If it makes you feel good and secure, then by all means opt for that one. Do NOT do something just because another has said it was right. YOU choose what is right for YOU... not anyone else, not even your parents!

the intolerance of everyone to accept the idea that others have a right to believe as they want to. if everyone would respect the differing belief system with the same respect they want for theirs then perhaps more tolerance would eventually bring a better understanding to all. the only basic difference in all religions is the rituals and ceremonies performed to honor THE HIGHER POWERS no matter by what NAME THEY are called.

Paul wrote in 2Cor.12:9 That he had prayed to the Lord thrice, God stated to Paul this His grace replaced into sufficient for Paul and that His power replaced into made suited in Paul's weak spot. Prayer is a verbal replace, as quickly as I worked in a coin keep years in the past, clientele could deliver a "want" checklist, specifying precisely what they needed. they did no longer prefer to wright from side to side, i replaced into there to furnish them what they needed. some preachers typify God in this way picking and selecting specific verses from the Bible and ignoring people who don't tournament up with their doctrine. There are issues that enter into our lives that are stressful to handle, a disabled newborn could make a individual ask various questions, for some there is not any hassle-free answer. we live in a international this is imperfect, some day God will replace this, His suggestions are no longer our suggestions, His techniques are bigger than our techniques. some circumstances as quickly as we pray we ought to ask for His power and convenience, and we ought to take heed to and to make prayer a 2 way street. might God bless you.

best thing is to believe in Jesus is God's son and our savior. we pray/talk to God through Jesus only.
a lot of people wanna rule the world. it's not really their religion they're fighting for. they want power. they wanna be God. and we don't know why a lot of people wanna follow these God wanna bes. a lot of things are the way they are and hard to accept and evil is the one to blame to all of these. Evil.
i noticed some good answers here about God are rated low. that there shows you where evil is, everywhere.

a lotta misconceptions there pal!! please if you wanna criticize the idiot uneducated people at least try and educate yourself first and if every one starts with fixing himself/herself before trying to fix others then maybe the world would come to some kinda intellectual agreement.
