It is spiritual prostitution. They've joined up with The Whore of Babylon and will burn.

A church is a business and run by people. They are either trying to get more power or working on public relations. Of course, they could also be under the impression that they're trying to work for a greater good, but I really think that people of religious power should stay out of of politics. It's better for those of us who do not follow a mainstream religion.

Well it certainly flies in the face of separation of church and state. I think there should be religious minded people in office. Meaning they should be honest and trustworthy.Don't think that will happen anytime soon. But in answer to your question. Religious leaders should not hold political positions of prominence. Some of the things involved in politics do not have anything to do with religion and must be addressed with morality and tolerance. Hard to find tolerant religious leaders. Most of the ones I have met see only in black and white. There is a reason God invented gray.

So then, I assume that all you that answered "yes" to this question would like it if all the polititions made all the decisions in this world with no spiritual voice there to counteract what is being done?? Shouldn't our religions have a voice in what happens to the country, what laws are enacted and what is being said and done? Who do you trust more to make the right choice: a politition or your minister? We need to remind our polititions that although they may administer earthly laws, they have no real power! I say let religious leaders partake, even if just to make everyone else nervous and maybe a little more honest.

of course! The Kingdom of God is no part of this world that is currently being ruled by Satan..( Just look at the Headlines) Satan offered these things to Jesus and he said" Go Away Satan." Any allies and friends of this world would be traitors to the Kingdom.. Religous leaders want part of the power...and the Government leaders use them for cannon fodder..See The Book of Revelation for the end result of any that pledge alligence to any government that God sees as opposing his...The Battle of Armageddon will not go away just cause many close their eyes to it. Be peaceable with all men! Be free from bloodguilt. Stay neutral in man made wars

All the bowing and scraping and "kissing Hank's @ss" in order to gain the biblegod's favor or avoid his punishment is spiritual prostitution; that's why I refer to their obsequious displays of devotion as "whorship"....

there is supposed to be separation of church and state, but according to a priest friend of mine, the church is full of politics. to call it spiritual prostitution may be a little harsh though.
