Hot Spiced Cider
Submitted by: Sara
"This recipe uses an automatic coffee maker to brew the cider. If you don't own one, heat it in a slow cooker or a saucepan over medium heat on the stovetop. Grab your mugs and dive into this hot drink! Clean your coffee maker according to the manufacturer's instructions before using for coffee again."

I used to make my own by just adding whole cloves and some cinnamon sticks to a pan of apple cider, and heating it slowly on the stove. It makes the whole house smell delicious!!
I now get "mulling spices" in packages at the grocery store or at the local farm store or apple orchard gift shop.
I don't care for the coffee pot idea.... yuk.... I would not put cider in my coffee maker!
At Christmas, I use my crock pot and serve the cider with a ladle.
ALSO, my kids make it by the cup in the micro with cinnamon sticks and cloves and a sprinkle of ground cinnamon. (the trouble with ground cinnamon and cloves is that the pieces get all over your mouth.... so if you only have ground, you can filter it thru a fine sieve like you would with tea leaves.)
Good luck!!
