You are assuming situation that neither is here or there. It really doesn't matter if you drive with them locked or not.

Emergency crew has what is called a punch tool. They press it against your window and it shatters.
Now if your in an accident and plunge 20 ft into a river or a lake and you don't have a punch tool to get out...your gonna die when your doors don't open.
The odds that you will ever find yourself in this position is not unlikely, but very slim it will ever happen to you in your lifetime, but in any event. you should know how to get out of your vehicle in an emergency situation when you need to regardless if the doors are locked or open. The punch tool is a very nice piece of apparatus to have.

My car doors lock automatically when I put the shift into drive. However, I have a gadget that can break the windows from the inside and most emergency rescue units have similar pieces of equipment.

Additionally, most people have crowbars (to change a tire) in their car trunks to that they can use to smash a window should the need occur.

Locked, continuously. Camel Herder makes an exceedingly valid factor, nonetheless. this is a few thing to think of roughly..... Anywho, I knew a truck motive force who replaced into held up at gunpoint interior the middle of the day at a stoplight on the city. He had his door unlocked, so some moron basically walked up interior the middle of the line and opened his door. remember the l. a. riots years in the past, while the mob opened that trucker's door, and dragged him out interior the line and beat him? If he had his doorways locked, a minimum of it could have been harder for them! nevertheless some thing to think of roughly.....guess there are the two execs and cons to the belief..

I drive unlocked, unless I feel uneasy about the area.
If someone neede to get into the car because of an accident, then they can smash the glass. If it's a bad accident the glass has probably already broken anyway.

I automatically lock my doors. In the case of an accident I think you won't care about your car if you need assistance anyway.

My doors lock automatically, so they are always locked.

I have this really cool feature on my car. In case of an accident, I have these see thru panels, I think they are called "glass." This "glass," while being transparent, is also fairly easy for rescuers to break in order to get to me in case of an accident.

I recommend that all cars have this "glass" installed for just this reason.

Locked. If I'm in an accident and incapacitated, odds are that the windows are broken anyway. If not, someone can always break them to get me out.
