I believe Jesus was most likely married, and probably to Mary Magdalene. If you think about it, he was sent here to be human, experience the life of a human, and die for our sins. Why would you do that and then prohibit the one thing that makes us different from other animals: love, marriage, and a sexual relationship. Plus, in his time, if he was single he would have been looked at in a suspicious way. Being married was pretty much a requirement, and it would have been an arranged marriage at that. It's a nice thought to have our savior be a chaste, virginal being, but probably didn't happen. Plus, what could be so wrong about our Lord being in a loving committed marriage? Isn't that something we should strive for also?

Jesus was a great man...There are no strong proofs that Mary Magdalene was Jesus wife but she was a married woman. Some historians have good and some have bad image of her. Its is always a tough job for historians to prove Mary as Jesus wife but Da Vinci made it simple and got undeserving fame and money. What an imagination Da Vinci..Lol

Yes, they were married.
Proof - The wedding at caana - Only the groom can bring wine to a wedding, this is Jewish Tradition, and Jesus was a Traditionalist. For him to bring wine (or create it) could only mean that he was getting married. His marriage also marked the moment he began to prove he was the messiah. So, who then did he marry?
The Last Supper - As the host of the Last Supper (Passover Feast), the only women allowed to join are family members, ie. Mothers, daughters and wives. For Mary to be there, she had to be his wife.
Annointing the Body - Only the wife, mother or other family member can annoint the body of the dead. For Mary to have gone to the Tomb, she had to be his wife. She was also the first person Jesus showed himself to, although he didn't have to.
The Stoning of Mary (Those without sin cast the first stone) - This story was actually added to the bible sometime during the fourth century, and does not appear in earlier texts. The syntax and word usage of the text does not match up with the surrounding text. This story was added as a way for Mary to be deposed as the wife of Jesus.
The exile of the Marys - Paul, upon taking over the early church, exiled both the Marys to France, "for their own good". Mother Mary is understandable, but then why Mary Magdelene?

Mary Magdalene was not a prostitute, as the Catholic Church has said for years. They now admit it. She was from an area known for ''not such good people''. But, why judge her on this? The Church has made up so many things-including the whole religion, as they wanted it, to keep the people under their control.
What difference is it if they were married or not? Any man who was not married by the time he was 20, during this time------well, there was something ''iffy'' about him.

There is no biblical evidence of Mary Magdalene being the wife of Jesus. Also, contrary to popular belief, there is also no evidence of Mary Magdalene being a prostitute. That piece of history was created in the middle ages by a pope during his Easter Sunday sermon. There is no factual basis for it.

All people are sinners by Biblical standards so any one who Jesus married would be a sinner. It would have been against not only the normal standards of his time to not marry but it would have also been against the bible to not take a wife and try to multiply.

I think that is true. I think the church hid the fact Mary Magdalene was Jesus' wife to deminish her power and the real power that women had in christianity.

I dont know. That is what Dan Brown implies in DaVinci Code but even he admits it is fiction. Lots of other 'theologists' believe it is possible also.
I dont really care. Jesus was just a man. There is no god and he certainly isnt the son of god.
