I had an x-ray done early in my second pregnancy, before I knew I was pregnant. He's a bit of a goofball but I think that's genetics and NOT the result of the x-ray. And he's 9 1/2 now. They don't really irradiate you that much during the x-ray, according to my doctor, so there shouldn't be anything to worry about.

They dont like you to expose the fetus to the radiation x waves, but in some cases it cant be helped.

Generally its a precautionary thing, and most of the time something accidental like this is of no concern. Especially since it was a chest x ray.

You should ask you OB just to be sure.

If you are visiting an OB/Gyn, please explain to them what happened. Nothing may have happened to your baby, but you won't know until you get your xonogram done and any other tests that your doctor may recommend for you. Just let the doctor know RIGHT away! Take care of yourself!

If they used a lead apron you should be alright. However be sure to tell your doctor so he can schedule an early ultra sound just to watch your babies development.
