Only a "little flock" of anointed Christians are awarded heavenly life. Those that are taken to heaven will have earned getting there, for "faith without works is dead" The small number of those chosen to go to heaven must remain faithful until death. After death, some will be instantly taken to heaven as spirit bodies, for 1 Corinthians 15:44,50, & 52 tells us: "It is sown a natural body; it is raised a spiritual body. There is a natural body, and there is a spiritual body." Now this I say, brethren, that flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God; neither doth corruption inherit incorruption." In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed."
Notice that the dead shall be changed--so no one will be driving or doing anything--they will just be given an instant resurrection from death to life in heaven and then those in heaven will rule with Jesus as Kings and priests in his Fathers government.

Rest assured that the Rapture has not happened yet. How do I know? Let's look at an example from the Bible of a group of folks who thought the Rapture had happened and they were "left behind": Paul wrote 2 Thes. 2:1-12 for this very reason. So I'll tell you what Paul told them:
Relax. The Rapture has NOT happened because the Antichrist has not risen to power. This guy is so egotistical that he'll demand attention as soon as the Rapture occurs. Read Daniel 9 and understand he'll declare a 7-year peace treaty in the Middle East. As soon as people begin to shout "peace!" the Tribulation will begin. It's really as simple as that.
If you're around when these things occur, THEN you'll know you've missed the Rapture.
Peace.

The rapture has not happened yet. Hundreds of thousand (maybe millions) of Christians will disappear in one moment (there will be many people left behind that call themselves Christians but were not ready, this will probably cause confusion as to if it was the rapture).
I think some people get confused because they put several events together (Jesus coming in the clouds to call His elect - rapture - and Jesus returning in the clouds to set up His kingdom on earth).
By the way, there might be a mid-trib rapture also.
The important point is, we do not know when it will accrue, we may die before then, so we need to be ready at all times.
God be with you.

I'm a Christian and I don't have the mark of the beast. The way people talk you would think there were no more Christians, but I'm here to tell you there are. The Rapture hasn't happened yet.

The rapture is a relatively recent theory based on the false hope that God will take his people out, in advance of the end time tribulations.
There's no evidence for a rapture except in the minds of those who like to make scripture say things that it never intended to say.
God is capable of protecting his people, much as he did in Exodus, during the Egyptian plagues.
There's no need, and no reason to take them out.

If the 'Rapture' had occurred, then Jesus would now be ruler of the earth, with righteousness, peace, justice, and mercy; there would be no more war, etc. The Bible says that the resurrection (rapture) won't happen until Jesus comes first -- and ALL eyes will see him coming in the clouds.
It's not something anyone will question whether they missed it or not. Stop reading that 'Left Behind' trash -- it is not biblical, just fantasy.

No the rapture has not happen yet, But it is just down the road in front of us, To clear up some ideals about the rapture, many people & even your question stated that when the rapture takes place that will bring in the 7 yrs. tribulation. There is no such thing as 7 yrs. tribulation. Come & go with me into Revelation, I am going to skip around & try to write this fast, Rev.8:1 We see Jesus sitting on the throne before this chapter as our high priest & mediator, With a scroll sealed with 7 seals, Rev. 8:1 We see Jesus coming off the throne as our High Preist & mediator, Salvation is over for the Gentiles. And when he had opened the 7th seal there was silence in heaven about the space of half an hour, What is happening, Jesus just opened that 7th seal, & that scroll is none other than the scroll of Redemption. Rev.8;2 We have to understand these 7 angels & 7 trumpets are for Israel, Not the Gentiles.Go to Rev. 10:1-6 I will not type it, But we can also see Jesus off the mercy seat in this setting & this angel (JESUS) has a little book (scroll) OPEN. Then 7 Thunders uttered their voices, These 7 Thunders is for the BRIDE & not Israel. & ONLY THE TRUE BRIDE WILL HEAR THOSE 7 THUNDERS, no one else. Verse 6 we see Jesus saying time shall be no more, This is time for the gentiles for salvation. Now we have Christ off the mercy seat. Salvation for the gentiles is over. Now God will deal with Israel. Can you see those angelic beings around that throne of Mercy fo 2000 yrs, seeing Jesus sitting on the mercy seat for our mediator, Now those angelic beings see Jesus standing up, I see those angelic beings keeping silence, that is that short period of time of 1/2 hour. & not 30 mintues, but we have to learn how to see the scriptures, why are they silence, because for 2000 yrs. all they saw was Christ on the Throne, now they see him off the throne, They hush up to see & hear what Jesus will do next. Now lets go to Rev 11 we see two Prophets for Israel, they will prophecy for 1260 days or 3 1/2 yrs. to Israel, This also goes with Daniel's Prophecy, These 2 prophets will prophecy to Israel for 1260 days & then the anti-christ will have them killed & their bodies will lay in the streets for 3 1/2 days for the whole world to see. Where is the Bride at, In Heaven at the marriage supper. Now we begin to see the great tribulation coming into focus after the Prophecies of these 2 prophets are killed And after 3 1/2 days God speaks to them & say come up hither, Now we can see the anti-christ getting ready to sit himself in the Temple to be worship as God. In Rev13:5 ---And power was given unto him to continue 42 months or 1260 days, The last 3 1/2 yrs.. Nowhere in the bible does it say that the anti-christ ill sit himself in the temple for 2520 days, which would be 7 yrs. So the great tribulation will be the last 3 1/2 yrs. of that 7 yr. period, The first part of that 7 yr. period will be those two Prophets Prophcying to Israel. This is in Revelation & also Daniel. But Daniel comes up with 75 extra days beyond the 1260 days at the end of the last part of the 7 yr. or the last of the great tribulation & those extra days will be when Chist comes back with his Bride to rule & reign for 1000 yrs. Those extra 75 days is when The cleansing of the temple will take place, & in Daniel 12:11 -12 we see first 30 days extra then 45 extra days making it 75 days longer than the 1260 days allotted to the anti-christ. Before Jesus will sit in the temple It has to be cleansed from where the anti-christ polluted the temple, Dan. 12:12 Blessed is he that waiteth & come to the 1335 days, Because whoever is left alive after the great tribulation, & if they live a good clean Moral life, God will allow them to come over into the Milliennium to help re-populate the earth. That is why those people is blessed. So NO the Rapture has not taken place yet a of today, & when it does, The world will not even know it, they will only think a few people are mising as we have people missing every day now. The Book of Revelation is a Love letter to the Bride & only the Bride will understand it, many tries to explain it, but they get themselves lost in it.
