muslims consider that as worse humiliation. in the book ' the world is flat' by thomas l friedman, he explain's it. as per him the muslims who as suffering humilation, retaliate by chopping heads.

I have no idea why. I just wanted to respond to Rigo. The difference being that the English haven't used this practice since the Middle Ages. The Muslim mentality is still locked in the Middle Ages. If you took away the modern transportation, a Crusader wouldn't see a whole lot of difference today than 800 years ago. And if you've seen the videos, it is not a quick efficient way to dispatch someone.

americans gives "poisoned injections", "electric chair"
Similarly Muslims chop off heads according to Shariah (Islamic Law), also infront of a group of ppl (if possible), so that fear sets in ppl's heart, and a person refrains from such an atrocious crime, which leads to death penalty in this manner. Peace to All.

Since most religious cultures believe that the seat of the soul resides in our heads (as opposed to hearts...or lungs, etc.), depriving a person of their head, their soul, is the ultimate insult to an enemy.
Severed heads have been used as a warning of the punishment that will descend if a law is broken; that was a charming British habit for many decades.
The ancient Celts took a slightly different approach. They removed the heads of their most fierce and courageous opponents, preserved them in honey...then, sitting around the fire swapping tall tales, would drag out their collection and boast about how terrible a "honeyed" head had fought against him, but he...the Celt, that is...triumphed in the end.
I suppose it beats watching "Wheel of Fortune" after supper...

They chop heads like they used to in France (French Revolution), it is quick, whereas the electric chair or choice of injections (USA), hanging (Japan) sometimes does not kill immediately.
