you are probably getting negative reinforcements from other places, maybe try to go walking to clear your mind, and it will boost your ego as it will tighten up your body, good luck and don't be so hard on your self

Well if you think of two negatives then it wil make a positive.

Pull yourself together and think positive then you will become what you think.

Read Paul Mckenna's book on total confidence it has a CD programming CD which should sort you out.

I expect the best answer for this OK

Make a contract with yourself to say absolutely nothing negative to yourself or about yourself for 2 days. It may break the cycle. People use this to diminish suicidal thoughts. Also, you can use the premise of fake it til you make it. Just constantly say positive things even if you do not believe them.

You are thinking negative about yourself because you have a low self-esteem. It isn't always easy to break this habit. In order for you to stop these negative thoughts of yourself, you must LIKE yourself. Tell yourself daily what you like about YOU such as, I am pretty, I am funny, I am loyal, people can count on me when they need a friend, I am good at my job.... you get my point. Most importantly, you have to like who you are and not care what others may think of you, after all, they don't know you like you do!

Low self esteem. You probably haven't had much positive influence in your life. What pulls me out of these modes is thinking about other people who have problems far worse than my own; the kid I saw at work the other day with arms no thicker than a mop handle, with no hands! I thank God that I wasn't me, and that pulls me out of my slump.

That is natural for all of us in these modern days. Just read the book Bhagavad Gita in your spare time and you will find answers to all your problems.

What started this trend?

Every time you come up with a negative thought, balance it with a positive one

don't be around people that are negative. Also, don't listen to anyone that puts you down. think of all the POSITIVE things in your life .... write it down and see what needs to fixed.... also, why don't you go to a church and try to build up your faith in God? Once you put Him in your life, you'll see the blessings He'll give you... hope this works... God Bless
