The left front wheel is doing this weird popping and cracking sound when u hit bumps..the wheel is not pulling and the tie rods were just replaced about a month ago so its not them..I have no problems steering..sometimes it seems louder than others..if anyone has any suggestions on what it may possibly be I would greatly appreciate it cause the noise drives me nuts and I don't want the wheel to fall off..and on a side note the wheel is not loose in any way my friend put it on a lift and took a look and the wheel was on their tight

Did you check the ball joints and control arm bushings? These are probably due to go south on an eleven-year old car or truck. Wheel bearings are another possibility, as are the shocks and springs. Hope this helps.

I have heard stories of coke bottles being left inside vehicle body panels, and they were lodged in there pretty good, until one day, they came loose and made a rattling noise that was almost impossible to troubleshoot. These stories all occured on GM's, but, with the UAW, anything bad is possible.

Be sure that the tie rods are tight, if they where just replaced they might have left something loose.

Walter G is going the right direction. Get those ball-joints checked-out before they let go and cause an accident and possibly kill you or someone else.

i have the same noise in my 2002 explorer my friend greased up everything for me it was good for about a month now i got it back again.
