Anyone loves salad poatoes?

When I was a little kid I thought I loved potato salad. I later learned that I only loved my mom's potato salad. I do not like most that I try. My wife has created a good recipe. If you don't like it decide why and remove the things that you don't like and add things that you do like from other recipes.

Potato salad






1 kg potatoes, peeled,cut into 2 cm cubes
1 cup frozen peas, defrosted under hot water
1 tablespoon oil
1 medium onion, finely chopped
3 slices bacon, diced
4 hard-boiled eggs, peeled,chopped roughly
1/2 cup mayonnaise
1/2 cup sour cream



Bring a saucepan of salted water to the boil, add the potato cubes, and cook until tender, but not soft and mushy!
This usually takes about 12 minutes after they return to the boil.
After about 8 minutes, add the peas, and cook for a further 4 minutes.
Meanwhile, heat the oil in a frypan, and cook the onion and bacon for about 5 minutes.
Transfer to a bowl.
Add the cooked, drained potatoes and peas, the chopped eggs, and the sour cream and mayo.
Mix gently but thoroughly until combined.
We prefer to eat this immediately, but you can cool and chill it.
I also occasionally add chopped dill pickles and fresh dill.

My Dad is German and so he makes a lovely potato salad which you can't buy here. If I go out to eat I never get it because it is always disappointing !
