how to i identify my webcam file and how to change avi like most supported format?

my file property displays its a unknown file. icant find it. it is which kind of file. but it works on windows playerin xp working normaly.(but movie maker also willnt support it)

Download and install VLC media player its free. Go to Wizard and transcode the file into any video format like mpeg, avi etc. That all your problem is solved.
