I'm not a Christian.
But my favorite parts of the Bible are Psalms and the Book of Ruth.

I liked the part where the hero rides up on a galloping horse and unties the heroine from the railroad tracks just before the train goes roaring by.
Actually there is a part about striving to enter through the narrow door, which is the same idea Robert Frost used in "The Road not Taken". Also, the idea that for every thing there is a season, and a time for every purpose... and lastly, the parts in Revelations that talk about the alien invasion from outer space, spaceships, and ray guns..

I have to say that I really like Matthew because it is the best place to start to begin to understand what Jesus was and truly what he did for us.
Revelations is all good, but that is what most people read first and it cause some to be skeptic about all the lessons learned in the rest of the BIBLE! HOLLA

I get excitement from having my loose time back to myself. I get excitement from with the flexibility to view the international with a rational, real looking ideas, and making use of skepticism throughout the time of my everyday life. i like understanding what i've got faith is justified, quite than continually being uncertain whilst i became a Christian. i'm an Agnostic Atheist (Pagan), meaning i'm fullyyt an Agnostic Atheist, yet i in my view like the Celtic lifestyle, Nordic international locations, and the popular understand in the direction of nature that Pagans tend to proportion. I proportion no supernatural ideals with Paganism, or any faith in any respect.

The book of Luke has so far been my favorite part of the bible. Revelations has this appeal because of the excitment and mystery.
Pretty much all aspects of the bible intrigue me excluding Genisis which just puts me to sleep.

Revelations has always been the most interesting to me also. There is so much symbolism. I can't say I want to be here for the tribulation but if I have to be I will be prepared. Also, 1Corinthians 13 also known as the love chapter. Read it...it's so true.

the "pagan" book of proverbs in what is to be thought 100% word of God
I have many books, many are gnostic, books of 'the dead' and many pre-date the Bible but there they are as if 'god' said it
some quotes however sound pretty dang barbaric
and in a song...too
Happy shall he be, that taketh and dasheth thy little ones against the stones.
-Psalm 137:9 (KJV)
pro choice/life this takes the cake... sounds like 'god' is pro death or abortion
And when he hath made her drink the water, then it shall come to pass, that,
if she be defiled, and have done trespass against her husband, that the water
that causeth the curse shall enter into her, and become bitter, and her belly
shall swell, and her thigh shall rot: and the woman shall be a curse among her
people.
And if the woman be not defiled, but be clean; then she shall be free, and
shall conceive seed.
-Numbers 5:27-28

What does the word 'Bible' stand for?
Best seller? Crusades? Slaughters? Social fractures? Anti-progress state of mind?
I wanna understand! Go on...
