Owing to the massive debt already owed by America, its unlikely that it will ever be able to fund that sort of manned expedition.
Look more likey to ESA and the Chinese.
Oh, and for all those people that think they landed a man on the moon - just remember WW2 submarine tactics to try and fool an attacker into believing a successful attack had been carried out - jettison some rubbish.

nasa did land on mars in 1997 with the Mars Pathfinder robot to do tests and take samples, now when Man will land on mars, only time will tell.
And YES we have sent a man to the moon, starting in 1969.

hey dumbass we have landed on the moon. japan set a space craft up and it took pictures of the lander bases left behind. and anything that people have said to question the lunar landing has been shot down. retard

I read a manned mission was planned for 2030, then again the US changes it's mind every 5minutes so I doubt I'll live to see it.
