I went to the doctor on Friday because my sides were hurting and they ran tests. He said I had urinary tract infection and prescribed Bactrim, twice a day. Didn't seem too concerned about my kidneys, so I was fine with that. Also had me buy AZO to take for a couple of days so that it would lessen the burning sensation I get when I go to the bathroom, which worked, for a couple days. But now when I go to the bathroom, it's okay at the beginning, but towards the end my toes start curling and I start cringing because of the burning pain. I'm going to call my doctor when they open, but just wanted to see if you guys were familiar with this.

Also, I just noticed, last night I got this burning sensation on my right side, starting from under my ribs down to the top of my hip. It went away when I woke up this morning, but now it's back. I think I worry too much. :P

Yes the end of urination pain is also part of UTI. You may have cystitis (bladder inflammation) and your ureters are probably involved too, now. I suggest you go back to the doc's, get a stronger antibiotic, before it ascends up to your kidneys.
Also, drink lots and lots and lots and lots and lots of water (about 3 L a day). Cranberry juice and cranectin tablets are good for UTI too.
Stop smoking and drinking alcohol especially until you've fully recovered coz alcohol will delay healing of septic foci.

Yeah you sounds like your infection didn't go away. Drink a crap lot of water, cranberry juice if you can stand the taste. The faster the clean yourself out the better! Don't drink orange juice!

This just means that you still have a very bad UTI. Keep doing what the doctor has told you, but let me add this, cut out all soda, especially cola. When this would happen to me, my mother always told me that every time i walked past the sink, to drink a glass of water. In other words, drink TONS of water when you have a UTI. Your body needs this in addition to meds, etc. to flush that infection out of there. In the future, if you feel the slightest hint of a UTI coming on, start drinking that water and it will just clear itself up without need for further treatment.

Bactrim is probably not working for you. You need something else. They do have something right now that is very strong that you take one a day for three days. Drink a lot of cranberry juice and water.

That's urinary tract infection alright! The antibiotics doesn't seem to be working, though! Might need to be changed!

Sometimes it takes more than one round of antibiotic to get rid of this type of infection. Drink cranberry juice and lots, lots and lots of water... pee often no matter how much it hurts.... take ibuprofen for the pain and inflammation.

its a bladder infection, if it starts to bleed in your stream, get to your Doc fast, they will perscribe antibotics then get ready for a yeast infection because of the antibotics, flood your system with lots and lots of water, drink no milk only clear liquids and lots of it.
