Im studying art in sixth form (college).....
and I have choosen the topic of hands. Part of the task is to choose an artist to research and base our work on, but im struggling to find one...can anyone help?

Two well known artists who have done studies of the human hand were Da Vinci and Rembrandt. You can find and download copies of both or their sketches and drawings on-line I'm sure.
The Rembrandt House (a museum) in Amsterdam has a large collection of Rembrandt's drawings.

I copied a drawing of hands by Rubens which was great practice. I also recommend the instruction books of Robert Beverly Hale to get an understanding of the anatomy of the hand.

Lots of artists studied hands. Try Albrecht Durer's praying hands sketch, Leonardo da Vinci, Michelangelo etc.

Albrecht Duhrer....he was the one who made the "the praying hand"...he also had sketches about the study of hands
