i just got my tongue pierced yesterday and my tongue is sooo swollen, how much swelling is normal, and when will it go down?

yikes... try a little salt water "mouth wash" several times a day alternating with ice cubes.

Everyone is different. There is no standard as to how much a person can swell. Time is the only thing that is going to do you any good. Oh, by the way, every heals at a different rate also.

the swelling will last a couple of days and then start to get better.if you notice any discolouration and puss you must go to your doctor, i recomend a good mouth wash with an aneasthetic/antibacterial in it

Next couple of days, dont smoke, try to avoid having food on your peircing and stick to drinking water, if it only gets worse in the next few days, see your doctor.
