Its a made up disorder. There is no such thing. It started to be a disorder when parents quit disciplining their children.

First of all, to the people who say it's a made up disorder; I suggest you have a chat with my partner as he has it and his behaviour is certainly like no-one else I know. However, it hasn't stopped him from being one of the nicest people I've ever met. I also teach kids with ADHD so any prejudice I had against the disorder has vanished. Yes, some of the parents are crap, but not all of them and many doctors believe that because it runs in families it has always been around just not recognised. Those families have been deemed unfit and rejected by society.

Anyway, check out these websites - they're pretty good:

www.netdoctor.co.uk (has a whole section devoted to ADHD)

It sounds possible that ADHD might be a factor there. Basically children with ADHD find it hard to concentrate, are often hyper, and it seems like they are just being 'bad'. a lot of people think it is a made-up disorder, but it is definitely real.
Occasionally children with Aspergers syndrome have ADHD too.
Not sure of any specific websites for ADHD, but the bbc (bbc.co.uk) always have lots of info - check out the health section.

I have no info to back this up, but I personally think that ADHD is one possible manifestation of hypoglycemia. If you want more info on that, check out the website www.hufa.org. Low blood sugar can cause a bunch of symptoms that are sometimes thought to be other disorders or conditions. Check out the symptoms link.

There is such a thing as ADHD, if you source the internet you will find relevant information, it is all to easy to blame bad parenting, and ignorance, they say
is bliss, however, parents with ADHD children will tell you that it`s really
exhausting work, fish oil, "Efalex" X6 per day can help with concentration, but
medication is usually the parents last resort.

U can do a simple internet search for it, but ADHD is something that is diagnosed by a doctor such as a psychiatrist or psychologist. U can find more info at a health clinic also.

ADHD is not a made up disorder. Discipline does not work with such children. Far too many children are then drugged with Ritalin.
A change in diet is usually the best answer.

Not really, there are many things that can be wrong with people that are NOT ADHD but appear to have similar effects. I also believe ADHD is too freely diagnosed these days, it kind of covers a multitude of things.
