Fish.
I love seeing them in aquariums, ponds, etc., swimming about. However, I have a total phobia about eating it in any shape or form. I walk miles round the supermarket to avoid the fresh fish counter because of the awful smell. It makes me feel sick, it is total revulsion. I can't even be polite about it and eat a little if given it at dinner parties etc., I just can't. I don't even like it if people near me in restaurants are eating fish. How can anybody eat something which smells so terrible, like dirty knickers!
Is there a proper word for this phobia?

Spheksophobia - fear of wasps. Much better now though, thanks to hypnotherapy.
Also got a fear of being shut in the kitchen, (any kitchen, it just feels totally wrong to have the kitchen door shut), and can't stand polystyrene. The very thought makes me cringe - you know the horrible squeaky noise it makes? Like nails down a blackboard, but worse. Uuughhh... Hate the way it feels too.

I have a phobia of anything touching my neck or surrounding area. i cant wear clothes that are near my neck, choker style necklaces, I cant sleep with the duvet near my neck, and the last person who thought it would be funny to touch my neck to see what my reaction would be got a black eye and a kick in the nuts. I just lashed out violently, the same as someone who is afraid of sipders would if one jumped on them.

My phobia started when I lived in London and all those umbrellas with pointy spikes were near my eyes. I can't bear sharp or pointed things near by eyes and I can't even watch a movie where people are running around with spears! Crazy eh?

I would hate to suffer from Logizomechanophobia as I work with them all day. I do have an active Paraskavedekatriaphobia. Maybe we could trade notes.
