24 yrs old, have not been on holiday in 3 years since uni, work too hard and will lose my mind if I don't take off for a while asap. I was thinking something along the whole spa concept, but not entirely sure if I should do that kind of holiday alone (boredom factor). I need a bit of a general city / alcohol / stress/ life detox and would welcome any suggestions. Anywhere. Doing anything.... Cost is not really an issue.

cheers all

Come to Zambia! There is heat, beautiful places to see, wildlife to watch, fishing. If you are an outdoors person there is so much to do. I live on a farm that does 2000ha of irrigated crops. It is situated on the shores of Lake Kariba . There is an island opposite us called Chete Island that has plenty of wildlife to view. Or there is livingstone where we have Victoria Falls , with Bungee jumping, game walks , river cruises. There is so much here for you todo. Depending on the amount of time you have you can do an overland expidition with the overland trucks and see more than just zambia. They go through Kenya, tanzania and a few other african countries. Guarunteed the experience of a life time!!

I propose Crete island in Greece:
1. At Agios Nikolaos (location Ammoudara) is located a newly established hotel (7/2006) name Blue Marine (4*). I have just returned from there. Exellent rooms, food, service and its is located next to the sea. It offers SPA services in a very beautiful environment, jacuzzi etc. It is ideal for total relax! You can reach there by airplane to Heraklion airport and then you can rent a car or you can pick up a taxi.
2. A cheaper solution would be at a distance of 55km from Hania airport. For city life detox in a natural environment full of rare trees at 500m height you can stay at the traditional rooms MHLIA . Food derrives from their biological products. Houses made by stone and the water comes from the mountains. The disadvantage is that you need a car to go for swimming.(www.milia.gr)
I wish you nice holidays!

I would check Paradise Island Bahamas out. That was one of the most fun trips I have ever had. They have so many activities for you to do and it's just a fun atmosphere. A great hotel to stay at is Paradise Island Harbour resort. They have daily activities and it's all inclusive!!

I would suggest taking a cruise! Plenty to do if you choose, spa treatments available or you can just relax on the deck of the ship!!

Good luck. (can I go along?)
