Sunny, I wouldn't say most guys do. But perhaps the liking of long hair is down to the a general accepted idea that it's more feminine. Then again, it could be one of those primitive throw-backs.
The reasons are many. For me, my mother always said, "A woman's hair is her beauty." When I was younger, I interpreted this to be the length of a woman's hair, but as a man now, it means the way she looks after and wears her hair - not the length. So for some it's social conditioning too.

I suppose subconciously the hair stands as a difference between men and women.
The majority of women have long hair, and the majority of men have short hair. So it stands as a visual difference between the sex's though it obviously doesnt always work (speaking as a guy with very long hair! ^_^ )
The traditional view of women is always having long hair and so on, so its what people are conditioned to most. Though in the end it will always be personal preference.

Long hair is more attractive, and more appealing to men. It makes women so much more famine. I could imagine dating a man that had longer hair than me. I don't want his hair looking better than mine. Hope ths helped!

It is feminine.
It falls across them in a silky way.
It gives them something to hang on to....and no I won't go into detail with that.
They love stroking the hair. and some love washing it.

For me its alluring,sexy & beautifull...It can say alot about women,usually that shes aware of herself,her own Beauty.....
