i dont know what is the relationship between my idea and swimming in the beach, but my idea is, drinking salty water makes you feel thirstier. this was used by a seventeenth century arab sudanese saint named farah wad taktuk, in order to cure a patient that cant open her leg wide like others, she had deprived a donkey from water. when the donkey had become skin over bones, she called the patient again and put her on the donkeys back. then, farah wad taktuk gave the thirsty donkey some water with some salt to increase the animal's thirst. (long story but no relation, aha, aha.)

It's salt water. Anything with salt in it makes you thirsty. Especially if you get a huge mouthful when you're swimming!

Probably from a combination of factors. remember that when you're swimming you're exerting energy. Then, afterwards, you're lying in the sun, which raises the temperature of the body. Both of the above cause a certain degree of dehydration, which leads to the sensation of being thirsty.

Your body burns calories and sweats during physical activity, you just don't notice it as much because you're in the water. Just like taking a hot shower will make you sweat. So your body is of course, losing fluids.
